There are three types of Prequalification (screener) questions you can use in your surveys: Single choice, Multiple Positive choices, and Multiple Negative choices. When you add more than one prequal to your survey, respondents go through questions in the order they are programmed. Each PQ acts as a gateway to the next question — respondents will only move on if they have met the parameters set by the PQ.

Using Single Choice Prequals
This question allows a respondent to select one answer choice, and you can set accept/disqualify on individual answer choices. After you type out your question, click accept/disqualify to the right to adjust the setting.
Using Multiple Positive Prequals
Multiple Positive choices could be used when you want to include respondents who have purchased your product in the last six months, or you'd like to achieve a certain behavior frequency.
- Select Multiple positive choices prequal to accept any respondents who select at least one answer option marked Accept.
- Type or paste your question into the Question field.
- Type or paste answer options into the Answer fields.
- Click (-------) to the right of an answer option to change the label to Accept any respondents who choose that option at a minimum.
- Click the N/A box to enable an exclusive N/A option.
Using Multiple Negative Prequals
Multiple Negative choices could be used when you want to disqualify respondents who work in certain industries, or who are unfamiliar with a product line (or conversely, are too familiar with a product line).
- Select Multiple negative choices prequal to reject any respondents who select at least one answer option marked Disqualify.
- Type or paste your question into the Question field.
- Type or paste answer options into the Answer fields.
- Click (-------) to the right of an answer option to change the label to Disqualify any respondents who choose that option.
- Click the N/A box to enable an exclusive N/A option.
Analyzing Prequals
On the Results page, prequals display in a chart with line-by-line summary data below. Percentages and numbers for each answer option will only show for respondents who were accepted into the survey.
