Instruction text allows you to give respondents guidance about the survey, divide different survey parts, or deliver details about the subject of your research. It is often used to present positioning statements, or descriptions about a product or service, as a precursor to a question set.
Respondents will be able to read your text and move forward at any time.

1. Building Instruction Text Questions
- In the Survey Editor, click the Instruction Text Icon in the question menu, or drag the icon into place.
- Type or paste text into the Instruction text field.
- Edit the Please read: text to fit your survey needs.
- Highlight text and select Bold, Italics, or Underline to format text as desired.
- Click on the camera icon, or drag and drop an image to add visual context to your text.
Note: To force respondents to view an image for a certain amount of time before moving on, consider using an Image Question.
2. Analyzing Instruction Text Questions
The Results page displays the Prompt text, Instruction text, and the number of respondents who viewed the question.
