Can Skipper create surveys in languages other than English?
Yes. To generate a survey in Spanish, for example, go to the Target Market page and set the survey country to Mexico (MX) and the researcher language to Spanish (ES). Then use Spanish in your Skipper prompts to ensure the survey is written in Spanish from the start.
What if I accidentally click the X and delete Skipper?
No problem — just delete the three default blank questions in your survey to bring Skipper Draft back.
What if I don't like what Skipper Draft came up with?
That's fine! You'll likely want to edit or remove some questions even if you like most of the draft. If you'd like to start over entirely, delete all the questions and re-enter your prompt — Skipper will treat it as a new request and may suggest different questions. Your initial draft is retained in Survey History if you want to go back, compare, or clone questions from it.
Is Skipper learning from my surveys or the text I enter?
We don't use the specific content of your surveys or text inputs to train Skipper at this time. We do store this data internally for the purpose of providing our service, troubleshooting issues, and improving our platform. Please refer to our Terms of Use and Privacy Practices, and reach out to your Account Manager if you have any questions.
What language model is Skipper using?
We're AI-agnostic. We experiment with and use a number of leading LLMs, including Claude through Anthropic and OpenAI's ChatGPT via our Azure hosting environment. More details about our subprocessors can be found here.
Does Skipper replace my value as a researcher?
Absolutely not. Skipper is a tool to help you get started and save time during survey creation — think of it as a way to overcome writer's block. It draws on the collective experience of aytm researchers to suggest survey drafts based on best practices, but it's always recommended to have a human review your survey to ensure cohesiveness and that your study goals are being met.
