Skipper Draft

Skipper Draft is an AI tool integrated into the Survey Editor page, designed to streamline survey creation by generating a survey draft based on your prompts.

1. Type your survey prompts into the Skipper Draft text box to generate a draft. Review and modify it to ensure it meets your study's needs.
2. Use Suggest to refine your survey further.
3. Use Modify to adapt existing questions or add new ones.
4. Use Resolve to Fit to address issues such as excessive characters or answer options.

Skipper Translate

Skipper Translate is an automated translation tool that facilitates translating survey drafts into different languages based on the fielding country, streamlining survey creation for multi-country projects.

1. Select a second language from the Language dropdown on the Target Market page.
2. Program your survey in the researcher's language, then click Languages in the Survey Editor to open the Translations table.
3. Click the down arrow next to your alternate translation label and select Translate with Skipper. Skipper will populate the alternate language column with translated survey text.

Skipper Explore

Skipper Explore is an AI-powered tool on the Results page that delivers faster, automated analysis of survey data. It generates statistical conclusions using proven models within the aytm platform and expresses them as concise, readable statements. Skipper Explore reads top-line summary data, runs significance tests, and summarizes any statistically significant differences.

1. Click Explore with Skipper next to a question on the Results page to generate an editable Storytelling Note summarizing the insights.
2. To analyze with banners, click the 3-dot icon menu with the Explore with Skipper sign.
3. Set primary and secondary Confidence Levels.
4. Click Add banners and select any number of banners.
5. Click Explore with Skipper to analyze the question with the selected banners.

Skipper Autocode

Skipper Autocode is an AI-driven tool that streamlines coding for survey responses. When you add an Open-Ended Question, Form Question, or Open-Ended answer option in the Survey Editor, Skipper Autocode detects themes in the response data and codes them automatically. It can also bulk-add codebooks to individual survey questions.

1. Open the Coding tab in the left menu.
2. Select the desired question from the dropdown.
3. Click the Autocode dropdown and select:
   • Apply codebook — apply codes from an existing codebook.
   • Guided autocode — expand and refine a category.

Verbatim Skipper Translation

Verbatim Skipper Translation lets researchers review open-ended responses in their chosen Research Language, making multilingual survey analysis easier. With it enabled, navigate to the Stats page and click the Verbatim icon to open the Qualitative report.

1. Click the Languages icon next to the search bar to open a menu showing the languages respondents used.
2. Select a view:
   • Original — view verbatims in the original response language.
   • EN — view the English translation of all verbatims.
   • Other language(s) — view translations in another language used in your survey.

Conversation AI

Conversation AI is a question type that allows respondents to engage in a conversation with Skipper, aytm's AI assistant, on topics chosen by researchers.

1. Click Add a question in the Survey Editor.
2. Select Conversation question type and type or paste a topic or prompt into the question field.
3. Click the talking point text field and type or paste up to 15 talking points — the main topics you want to explore. These guide the conversation and can be expanded through customization settings such as depth, input, and style.
