View Options is where you set how your results are drawn, without changing the underlying data. The Chart Type control at the top of the panel sets one chart style for the whole report at once.

Setting the chart type
- On the Results page, open the View tab—the third tab from the top of the left sidebar. The panel that opens is headed View Options.
- The first section is introduced by a note reading Default chart type: <name>, which always names the style currently in use. Below the note is a row of five options (see the table below). Hover any option to see its name.
- Select the chart style you find most useful. Your choice is saved with the report, and every question redraws in that style.
- When Column Chart or Bar Chart is selected, a pair of radio buttons appears underneath the row: Use counts in charts and Use percentages in charts. Switching between Column and Bar keeps whichever of the two you were on; arriving at Column or Bar from Auto, Pie or Tables only starts you on counts. Auto, Pie Chart and Tables only, no charts have no counts/percentages choice.
Chart type options
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Auto | The report pins no chart type of its own: each question is drawn in the page's default chart type, unless that question carries its own chart-type override. This is what a report shows before anyone has chosen a style. |
| Pie Chart | Draws every question as a pie chart. No counts/percentages choice. |
| Column Chart | Draws every question as a vertical column chart. Supports counts or percentages. |
| Bar Chart | Draws every question as a horizontal bar chart. Supports counts or percentages. |
| Tables only, no charts | Shown as a table icon. Hides all charts and displays numerical data only. |
⚠️ Note: Pie charts and demographic splits don't mix. Selecting Pie Chart clears the Demographic Split below it, and selecting a demographic split while on Pie Chart moves the report to Column Chart (counts).
💡 Tip: Chart Type is the report-wide setting. Any single question can still be switched with the chart selector in that question's block—a question-level choice always wins over this panel.
