Sort Logic
Sort logic allows you to sort a list of answer options, sub-questions, or entities alphabetically or in reverse-alphabetical order.

Using Sort Logic
In any question field that precedes the item you want sorted, enter sort logic, including the reference for the item to be sorted (in this example, q2a). For reverse-alphabetical order, enter z-a instead of a-z. [sort q2a by a-z] |
Exceptions to Sort logic
Checking the N/A box will automatically exclude a system-generated N/A option, anchoring it to the bottom of the list. If you would like to exclude other options (e.g. "Other, please specify.") you must add an exclusion clause (including the reference to exclude) to the sort logic: [sort Q3a by a-z except q3a15] |
