Customizing your Concept Mapping
For a new Concept Mapping setup, any group logic used in your survey will automatically populate. Use this data as-is, make changes, or create a Custom setup.
- Drag and drop Concept Mapping into your study from the Insights Portal tab.
- Click the drop-down and select Custom setup.
- Type the label for the entity you wish to measure and click add an entity to add as many entities as needed.
- Click the camera icon to the right of a Label, or drag and drop an image over the camera icon to assign an image to each entity.
- Type all the question references for each attribute, separated by commas, into the Questions/Subquestions text field of the attribute section. If the system detects a structural match of the questions, click the drop-down next to the text box to select the individual answer option, Top box calculation, or the mean that you would like to track.
- Type or paste a label for that attribute into the associated Label field.
- Click Add an attribute and fill in the corresponding information for each data set you’d like to track.
- Click the drop-down under variables for filtering to select items to add as filters for your Concept Portal. This list includes Virtual Questions, various question types from your survey, system variables, and custom uploaded variables.
Note: Variables for filtering is optional, but it may help you discover new insights.
- Click Run Comparison. The resulting chart will give you a preview of your data.
- Click the Select drop-down menu to choose the appropriate Concept Portal to store data.
- Click Push to Portal.
Helpful Hint: Within a few minutes, this data will populate into the selected Concept Portal. If you already have the portal open in another tab, you may need to click the refresh button to make sure the data has been pulled in. In the data sources drop-down, you’ll see the survey ID added to the filters for your portal, and the additional concepts uploaded or updated in the current view.
