Skipper offers four additional features: Modify, Resolve to Fit, Suggest Next Question, and Suggest Answers. These AI tools on the Survey Editor page streamline survey creation by leveraging market research best practices, providing recommendations and edits to your survey draft based on your prompts.
Modify
Use Modify to adapt an existing question with specific prompts, or to insert new question sets into your existing survey draft.
Modifying an existing question:
- Click the Modify button above the specific question.
- Select from our example prompts or type your own command describing how you'd like the question or answer options to change.
Adding additional question sets:
- Click the Modify button above a blank question.
- Select from our example prompts or type your own command specifying how many questions you'd like and what topic to explore.
⚠️ Note: When using Modify, Skipper generates a comment with your prompt and a brief explanation of its reasoning. If you don't like the modification, use the Undo button or the survey history tool to revert to a previous state.
Resolve to Fit
If a question throws an error for excessive characters or too many answer options, Resolve to Fit will automatically address the issue.
- Hover over or click the red question number to view the error.
- Click Resolve to fit. Skipper will shorten text or move excess characters to an Instruction text question. For answer options, it may eliminate duplicates, evaluate the least suitable options, preserve options with aytm Logic, or remove options from the end to fit within limits.
⚠️ Note: If you dislike how Skipper revised the question or options, click Undo to restore your original text.
Suggest Next Question
When you're stuck and unsure what to ask next, Suggest Next Question evaluates your existing draft, considers your specific needs, and suggests new questions.
- Click Suggest next question at the bottom of the page.
- Enter the number of additional questions you want and any other criteria. Skipper will assess your draft and suggest relevant questions.
💡 Tip: Skipper's rationale for each suggested question and type can be found in the comments section of your survey.
Suggest Answers
When you have a question but need answer options, Suggest Answers generates a list of suitable options, sub-questions, or alternatives based on your question type and content.
- Hover over the question.
- Click Suggest answers.
