Collecting Personal Information
When you launch a survey to a group of respondents in an online panel, you may be be tempted to ask for an email address or a way to follow up after the survey. However, it is against privacy guidelines and our terms of use (TOU) policy to collect any personal identifiable information from respondents within a Panel survey. Because we want to respect our respondents' confidentially, we ask that you agree to the Terms of Use shown below before launching your survey.

Collecting PII in List Surveys
- Explain to respondents what is the reason for the collection of emails.
- Ask the respondent to explicitly agree to providing their email.
- If they agree to provide their email, they may then be asked for the email, but if they do not consent, then you must skip that question.
