Transferring Editor Role

While you're developing a survey, you may want to share your study with another user. If you wish to allow that other user to edit your draft, you can easily transfer the Editor role to that user.

Transferring Editor Role

  1. On the Survey Editor page, click on the words You are editing, found in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the name of the viewer to Pass editor role to that person.

The page will reload as view-only until your status as Editor is restored.

Claiming the Editor Role

When viewing a survey that someone else is editing, you will see a message in the upper left sidebar.

  1. Click the Take over editing button to resume control of the Editor role. The former editor will receive a message that you have taken over, and will be able to view the survey and leave comments.
