While developing a survey, you may want to share your study with another user. If you want to allow that user to edit your draft, you can easily transfer the Editor role to them.

Transferring the Editor Role

1. On the Survey Editor page, click You are editing in the left sidebar.
2. Click the name of the viewer to Pass editor role to that person.

The page will reload as view-only until your status as Editor is restored.

Claiming the Editor Role

When viewing a survey that someone else is editing, you'll see a message in the upper left sidebar.

1. Click Take over editing to resume control of the Editor role. The former editor will receive a message that you have taken over, and will be able to view the survey and leave comments.

Editing Interruptions

Occasionally, the aytm team may need to go directly into your survey and make edits. If this happens while you're editing at the same time, you'll receive an alert like the one shown below.

On Your Dashboard

You'll also be notified on your Dashboard if a team member is currently working on your survey.
