On the Results page, there may be a few automated reports available, depending on your survey content and the features enabled on your account. These include the Automated Concept Lab Report, the Term Report, and the Skipper Report.

Automated Concept Lab Report
Once a survey using Smart Loops or Group Logic begins fielding, the platform automatically generates a Concept Lab report. This report is created based on any supported group configurations included in your survey, so you'll have results ready without any extra setup. The following question types are available as attribute data sources in the Automated Concept Lab Report: Radio Buttons, Checkboxes, Sliders, Star Rating, Smiley Rating, and Progressive Matrix.
⚠️ Note: The report is only generated when the Concept Lab Data Lab tool is enabled on your account, and when the group itself is supported—it must produce at least one entity and one attribute, and all questions in a set must use the same number of answer options. Groups that don't meet these conditions are skipped.
Accessing Automated Concept Lab Report
When a survey begins fielding, navigate to the Stats page.
- Click Reports in the left sidebar.
- Select Automated Concept Lab Report beneath the Automated Reports section. The report will automatically populate with the Concept Lab and all questions included within the selected group.
⚠️ Note: If the survey contains multiple groups, each subsequent group will appear directly after the final question of the previous group.
Editing an Automated Concept Lab Report
The Automated Concept Lab Report can be edited at any time to adjust or refine the output.
-
Click the Group drop-down menu to select another pre-defined group (identified by any group logic or Smart Loops used in the survey), or click Custom setup to start with a blank table.
💡 Tip: Pre-defined groups each generate their own Concept Lab further down in the report. The Automated Concept Lab Report itself is protected and can't be overwritten or deleted—any changes you make must be saved with Save as a new report, or discarded using Reset.
- Click the gear icon to edit the entities and attributes of the Concept Lab. From here, you can:
- Click within the Label & Image text box to rename an entity. (This reads simply Label when images are disabled.)
- Click the image icon to choose an image from the images already used in your survey.
- Click Add an entity to add additional entities.
-
Click the attribute Questions/Subquestions drop-downs to select the question and answer options you would like to evaluate.
⚠️ Note: Attributes are automatically highlighted at the most positive end of the scale (e.g., "Strongly Agree"). When the platform can't identify the scale direction, it defaults to the top box—review the selection before relying on the output.
- Click within the Label text box to rename an attribute.
- Click Add an attribute to add any additional attributes.
- Click Run comparison to regenerate the Concept Lab with the new configurations.
- Click Save as a new report at the top of the page to preserve your changes.
Term Report
The Term Report shows which respondents were screened out through a survey's pre-qualification questions and termination points. It isn't generated like other reports—it appears in the Reports list automatically and is built on the fly each time you open it, so it's available at any stage of fielding.
⚠️ Note: The Term Report is a gated feature and won't appear on every account or survey. If you don't see it in the Reports list, reach out to your aytm contact to have it enabled.
Navigate to the Stats page.
- Click Reports in the left sidebar.
- Select Term Report under the Automated Reports section. The report will automatically populate with a Virtual Question that displays the number of respondents terminated by:
- Any pre-qualification (PQ) questions
- Any main survey questions with termination logic points
- Any main survey questions with custom quota logic points
💡 Tip: Respondents are grouped by the last question they answered before terminating, and only termination points that actually screened someone out appear—unused ones won't show as zero rows.
⚠️ Note: The Term Report can be exported via the Export tab, but it cannot be modified or shared. To further explore data on those who were terminated, switch to the Original - as fielded or other saved report. From there, you can filter on status, found under the Variables section of the Filter menu. You can also use status in Virtual Questions, found under Data Lab, to create custom views. Filtering on status requires the fielding health status feature to be enabled on your account—without it, status won't appear in the variable list even if the Term Report itself is available.
Skipper Report
Once a survey has finished fielding, the platform automatically generates a Skipper Report. This report analyzes all survey questions and draws advanced data visualizations and insights upon that, using Concept Lab, Virtual Questions, Correlation Finder, and Storytelling sections.
After the survey has finished fielding, navigate to the Stats page:
- Click Reports in the left sidebar.
- While the report is still being built, it appears under the Automated Reports section. Once it's finished, it becomes your Default Report at the top of the Reports list. Select it to view the advanced data visualizations and insights, including Concept Lab, Virtual Questions (VQ), Correlation Finder (CF), and Storytelling sections such as Background & Methodology.
⚠️ Note: The Skipper Report begins generating only when the survey status is marked as completed and all supporting analyses have finished—including sentiment analysis, open-end translation and coding, MaxDiff HB, and Conjoint HB.
⚠️ Note: The Skipper Report requires aytm's AI features to be enabled, and is not available for merged surveys. It also requires a minimum sample size: 100 completes, or 20 completes for surveys that include conversation, video response, or image response questions.
