About the aytm Panel
aytm's proprietary panel is PaidViewpoint, which aytm has designed, built, and managed since 2011. We're committed to giving our panelists the best possible experience, because panelists who are treated with respect reward you with truthful, higher-quality feedback.
When your targeting or sample size calls for more reach, aytm automatically adds trusted partner panels to PaidViewpoint. Together they reach 100MM+ consumers worldwide. There's nothing extra to order or set up. PaidViewpoint is always filled first, and the Target Market sidebar shows an AYTM BLENDED or AYTM CURATED badge when partner panels are in use.
⚠️ Note: Some features, such as TrustScore, aren't available for respondents from partner panels. See Panel Quality for how each source is screened.
Panel Surveys Run on the aytm Platform
We don't resell our panel. To field a survey to the aytm panel, you program it on the aytm platform as a Panel Survey. If you want to survey your own customers, employees, or contacts instead, create a List Survey and share its link yourself.
| Panel Survey | List Survey | |
|---|---|---|
| Respondents | aytm's panel (PaidViewpoint, plus partner panels when needed) | Your own list, by link, embed code, or QR code |
| Targeting | Country, demographics, quotas, and incidence rate | Language, device, and response options |
| Sidebar shows | Sample Complexity meter, price, and delivery guarantee | Price only |
For a fuller comparison, see List Survey vs. Panel Survey.
Check Feasibility, Price, and Timing
Start on the Target Market page. You can see feasibility, price, and timing for your survey before you write a single question.
- Open the Target Market page.
- Under Source of respondents, keep Panel selected. It's the default.
- Choose your country and language.
- Set your demographics, quotas, and estimated incidence rate (IR).
- Enter your Total Sample size (N).
- Review the estimate in the left sidebar. It refreshes every time you change your targeting.
What the Sidebar Shows
| Item | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Sample Complexity | A meter at the top of the sidebar that shows how demanding your targeting is, from Blitz through Streamlined, Robust, and Advanced to Sophisticated. |
| Delivery guarantee | "If you launch within [time] we guarantee the delivery by [date]." The launch window counts down by the minute. |
| Price | Your estimated total, plus tax. |
| N, LOI, and IR | Your sample size, estimated length of interview, and estimated incidence rate. |
| AYTM BLENDED / AYTM CURATED | Appears when your targeting needs partner panels on top of PaidViewpoint. |
| Custom Quote | Replaces the price with Let's Chat when your targeting goes beyond what can be quoted automatically. Our team will prepare a quote for you. |
What Drives the Price
Panel Survey pricing is based on three factors:
- LOI: how long respondents take to complete your survey.
- IR: the percentage of panelists who qualify for your survey. See About Incidence Rates (IR).
- Tech surcharges: some features add to the total, depending on your plan.
Key demographic traits are included in the price, so you don't need to ask them in your survey. Feasibility and pricing can change with sample availability.
Write Your Survey
Once your target market is set, click Write Survey at the bottom of the Target Market page to open the survey editor. The button becomes available after your target market is valid, saved, and estimated.
In the editor, add questions from the question menu and fill in your questions and answer choices. Drag questions to reorder them. To clone a question, hold Shift (PC) or Option (Mac) while you drag it.
💡 Tip: Your estimated LOI is based on the questions you write, so the price can change as your survey grows. Check the sidebar again before you launch.
