DIY Tracker Mapping allows users with an Insights Portal package to push survey data from their survey results page directly to an existing Tracker Portal.
If you already have access to Insights Portal, reach out to your Account Manager or our Success team to have Insights Portal Mapping added to your Results page.
Add Tracker Mapping to your Results
- Click on the Insights Portal Mapping item in the left menu.
- Click on the Tracker Mapping tab, or drag the tab into place in your results. Any group logic used in your survey will automatically populate in the Tracker Mapping element.
- Click the drop-down menu to select Single entity Tracker or Multiple entity tracker for a custom setup.
- Click the Wave drop-down to assign the new data to an existing wave; this list populates all possible waves in all portals on your account, plus one additional wave, which is selected by default.
- Type the label for the entity you wish to measure, and click add an entity to add as many entities as you would like to track from this dataset.
- Type all question references for each attribute, separated by commas, into the Questions/Subquestions text field, and click the drop-down next to the text box to select the individual answer option, Top box calculation, or the mean that you would like to track.
- Type or paste a label for that attribute into the associated Label field, and click Add an attribute and fill in the corresponding information for each data point you’d like to track.
- Click the drop-down under variables for filtering to select items to add as filters for your Tracker Portal. This list includes Virtual Questions, various question types from your survey, system variables, and custom uploaded variables.
Note: Variables for filtering are optional, but it may help you discover new insights.
- Click Run Comparison. The resulting chart will give you a preview of your data.
- Click the Select drop-down menu to choose the appropriate Tracker Portal to store data, and click Push to Portal.

Refreshing your Tracker Portal
Within a few minutes, this data will populate into your Tracker Portal. If you already have the portal open in another tab, you may need to click the refresh button to make sure the data has been pulled in. In the data sources drop-down, you’ll see the survey ID added to the filters for your portal, and your wave data added or updated in the current view. |
