Targeting Teens
We can target teen respondents in panel surveys, but setup must be handled by Panel Operations on the back end—you won't see teen age ranges as options on the Target Market page. To check feasibility and discuss requirements, we'll connect you with your Account Manager.
When you reach out, please be ready to share:
- The age range of teens you want to target
- Any additional demographics you're filtering or targeting
- Number of completes
- Quotas for your sample
- Any screening/pre-qualification questions, and your Incidence Rate (IR) if you know it
- LOI (how many questions you expect to ask)
- Your deadline / turnaround
Age-Specific Compliance Requirements
Teen and youth targeting comes with age-specific compliance and consent rules:
| Age Range | Parental Consent | Survey Administration |
|---|---|---|
| Ages 0–10 | Parental consent required. | Parent answers the survey, or child takes it with direct parental assistance and input. |
| Ages 10–12 | Parental consent required. | Child is typically independent and literate enough to take the survey on their own or with limited parental help. |
| Ages 13–17 | Not required in the US; contact us for international requirements. | Can be contacted directly, but all content and questions must be age-appropriate for minors. |
⚠️ Note: International minimum ages and parental consent rules vary by country. If you're running a global or multi-country study targeting youth audiences, let us know—we can advise on compliance requirements for each region.
Targeting Niche Profiles
If you can't find the exact demographic profile you need on the Target Market page, our Panel Operations team can suggest Premium Profiling options that may narrow your audience further. Tell us the specific profile you're after—for example, left-handed parents in the Pacific Northwest, or C-suite executives in the healthcare sector—and we'll advise on what's possible and the associated costs.
